About Do College Differently

Do College Differently was built on a simple conviction:

Students should not have to spend four to five years and six figures to earn a fully accredited bachelor’s degree.

There is another path.

We help students complete most of their degree using alternative credit, then transfer to accredited universities to graduate faster and for a fraction of the traditional cost.

Why This Exists

Hi, I’m Bryce.

I’m a credentialed teacher, husband, and father. I was homeschooled growing up here in Southern California. When I started looking at college, I realized quickly that the traditional path did not match the life I wanted to build.

It was expensive.
It was slow.
And it did not provide clarity.

I wanted to advance my career quickly, support my future family, and avoid unnecessary debt.

That’s when I discovered alternative credit.

Through exams like CLEP and self-paced courses from ACE-approved providers, I was able to complete dozens of college credits outside the traditional classroom, transfer them strategically, and graduate just after turning 20 — completely debt-free.

But here’s the truth: it wasn’t easy.

I spent hundreds of hours digging through university transfer policies, verifying requirements, meeting with advisors, and triple-checking every decision. It worked, but it was stressful and uncertain.

I wished someone had mapped it out clearly.

So I built what I wish I had.

What We Actually Do

Do College Differently is not a college.

We are a coaching and consulting program that helps students follow a structured, step-by-step degree plan using alternative credit and transfer-friendly universities.

We help students:

  • Choose the right degree and target university

  • Map the entire pathway before taking classes

  • Complete general education and major requirements efficiently

  • Avoid taking credits that won’t transfer

  • Transfer to accredited universities like Thomas Edison, Excelsior, or Charter Oak

  • Graduate with a fully accredited bachelor’s degree

We guide students from their very first course all the way to graduation.

Think of it like having a personal trainer for your degree.

What Makes This Different

Many students hear about CLEP or Sophia. Few understand how to use them correctly.

Alternative credit without a strategy is risky.
